Kenneth E. Citron is an accomplished trial attorney with decades of experience successfully handling litigations, appeals, arbitrations and mediations in state and federal courts. He concentrates on commercial litigation, construction disputes, homeowners’ association disputes, and real estate related disputes. He also represents individuals and entities in business, loan and real estate transactions.

Ken began his career as an assistant district attorney in Middlesex County, Massachusetts. During this time, Ken supervised two of the county prosecutor’s district court offices. He soon ascended to a position as a superior court prosecutor, investigating major felonies and handling associated grand jury presentations and trials. As an assistant district attorney, Ken argued dozens of motions and acted as lead trial attorney for hundreds of cases, including on more than 70 jury trials.

Prior to joining KCEC in 2011, Ken practiced for more than a decade with a law firm in New York City, where he was a long-time shareholder and a member of the firm’s litigation department. During this period, Ken was responsible for handling trials and appeals in New York state and federal courts and for conducting arbitrations before FINRA, the CFTC, and other tribunals on behalf of businesses and individuals, including in the areas of commercial litigation, securities, employment, accountancy, and bankruptcy.

As lead litigator at KCEC, Ken now serves clients in sophisticated commercial, real estate and construction disputes. He also assists local real estate investors and developers, businesses, contractors and other construction professionals, restaurants, and individuals to navigate diverse and often complex issues relating to entity formation and governance, contract negotiations and preparation, lending/borrowing, and business and real estate transactions.

Ken’s approach is assertive but pragmatic. He understands that each client’s needs and objectives are unique, and he strives to understand and effectively accomplish his clients’ goals. This often favors a practical business or economic resolution, but when that cannot be achieved, Ken brings an analytical nature, decisive manner, and extensive experience to successfully advocate for his clients in even the most contentious cases.
